Does poison ivy just jump out and grab you when you walk by?  It seems to do this to me.  I, for one, am extremely allergic.  I will break out in a rash and itch for what seems like years.  I was introduced to Jewelweed for the rash and have become a believer in its healing properties.  Jewelweed helps to dry up the rash and relieve the itching.

For poison ivy prevention or itch relief if you come into contact with poison ivy, we recommend that you rinse your skin with cold/cool water and immediately wash with Jewelweed soap to remove the poison ivy oils from your skin. Be sure to wash everywhere that has come into contact directly or even indirectly from the oils being on your clothing. If you do indeed end up with a rash, continue to wash with the Jewelweed soap to dry up the rash. In addition, apply the Jewelweed salve to help dry up the rash quicker while soothing the itch.
